Some casual drinks at the Regatta tonight to celebrate my birthday.
Eleanor, like many others during this last couple of weeks, asked all the usual questions about when and where. I fed one of the usual responses "well, we're not sure because we have two holidays already booked for January and February".
"Hey, why don't you get married down in Adelaide? We'll all be there," she suggested. If only she knew how close she was! I answered with, "yes, well, we have thought about how many nice wineries are down that way, it isn't such a bad idea..."
It was in fact one of the ideas we had thought about and discarded. Could we keep this ruse up for another two months???
Phil and Lyndell are officially "hitched", having exchanged marriage vows at Vlasoff Cay (or Middle Cay) at approximately 10am on Monday 19 January, 2009.
We ran away to get married to keep it simple. In many ways, the decision to elope was one of the easiest, however it brought with it complications we never imagined. More than anything, we hated concealing our plans from you, our friends and family. So, we kept this blog not only as part of our big "reveal" but also so that those of you who are interested could recount our experiences in planning our special day, if you choose.
